PROGRAMS & SERVICES
There’s no single path.
We’ll help you find yours.
Summit offers real levels of care, real community, and real support — built around where you are and where you want to go. Whether you need intensive clinical support or a steady place to keep building your life, our team will help you find the level of care that fits.
HOW WE APPROACH CARE
Four parts of one person
Summit doesn’t treat addiction as one piece of a person. Our approach addresses four core areas, because we believe that is what’s required for lasting change.
Biological
Medical care, wellness support, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Psychological
Evidence-based therapy, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
Social
Peer support, life skills, case management, and a healthy community.
Spiritual
Purpose, self-reflection, personal growth, and values that support recovery.
“The peak of a towering obstacle becomes a summit the moment someone finds the courage and support to begin the climb.”
A CONTINUUM OF CARE
Support That Moves With You
Summit’s programs work together to provide the right level of structure, clinical support, housing, and ongoing care as needs change. From high-intensity residential treatment to greater independence and continued wellness support, each step is designed to help people build stability, confidence, and a path forward that works for them.

INSIDE THE 3.1 PROGRAM
A Structured Path Forward
Summit’s ASAM 3.1 program is structured around four phases. Each phase builds on the last, gradually increasing independence while helping participants strengthen coping skills, establish stability, prepare for work and everyday responsibilities, and create a plan for what comes next.
Orientation
The first 14–30 days: building your recovery plan, addressing health and legal needs, and settling into daily rhythms.
Exploration
Strengthening coping skills, connecting with a sponsor and home group, preparing a resume, budget, and approved job search.
Integration
Staying meaningfully engaged through work, practicing budgeting and conflict resolution, stepping into community leadership.
Transition
Building an aftercare and relapse-prevention plan, securing follow-up, and preparing for a stable next step.
FOR FAMILIES
Connection is part of the plan
Addiction affects the whole family, not just the individual in treatment. After an initial period of stabilization, approved visitors are welcome, and our team works with families and loved ones as part of the support system — because connection is part of what makes lasting change possible.
LIFE ENRICHMENT & COMMUNITY
Treatment should help with real life, too
Beyond clinical care, Summit connects people to the practical pieces of a stable future — through community partnerships and life enrichment programs that open real doors.
A comfortable place to live
Nutritious meals, clean homes, and housing support while you’re in the program.
A path back to work
Employment preparation, approved work, and workforce partnerships.
Clinical and peer support
Individual and group therapy, peer recovery support, and case management.
Outings & new experiences
Recreation, nature, and community — rebuilding connection, confidence, and joy.
Practical partnerships
Financial wellness, workforce development, and ID/records support with APGFCU, the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, and Harford Voices of Hope.
A plan for what comes next
Relapse prevention, aftercare, and a lasting alumni network.
